NIEA is seeking a qualified student board member to serve as an interim member of the NIEA Board of Directors (BOD) until October of 2018. The NIEA Student Board Member serves as the student voice on the NIEA Board and provides a critical opinion on NIEA's strategic direction and policy. Student board members are full voting members of the BOD, participate in monthly board meetings, serve on at least two committees, and are active in NIEA business.

NIEA is accepting applications from qualified member candidates (e.g., enrolled full-time in a degree program, over 18 years of age, a current paid member of NIEA). Application and supporting materials are due on Thursday, May 31, 2018, 5:00 p.m.

If the selected student desires to fill the Student Board member seat permanently, the selected student will need to run for the position at the 2018 Convention as the service period for the interim position ends in October 2018, after Convention.
