Dear School Leaders,

The Montana Office of Public Instruction is partnering with the Montana Contractors’ Association and the Montana Building Industry Association to promote Montana Construction Week in our schools and communities, October 2-6, 2017. This strong partnership will prepare a Montana ready workforce.

Montana Construction Week is part of a nationwide effort created to raise awareness of the vast opportunities available in the construction industry. Montana Construction Week will highlight the benefits of the construction industry as a career path for students.

As education leaders, it is our responsibility to support diverse career skills through CTE, STEM, and trade apprenticeships in schools as a viable, honorable, and rewarding career pathway. Join me in celebrating Montana Construction Week by building strong relationships with your local contractors. Invite these experts into your schools. School time is precious, but the shared learning opportunities for your students will strengthen the investment in Montana’s public schools and make your communities and Montana proud.

For more information about Construction Week, visit www.mtagc.org/construction-week, or contact the Montana Contractors’ Association at (406) 442-4162.

Sincerely,

Elsie Arntzen

State Superintendent
