APRIL IS NATIONAL DISTRACTED DRIVING AWARENESS MONTH
Raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving in April and all year long. Here are some excellent resources you can use in the classroom and your community:
MONTANA DRIVE SUMMER WORKSHOPS
Attend a Montana DRIVE One-Day Summer Workshop in Lewistown! The season starts June 4 and ends August 9. Teen workshops on July 23, 24, and 25 are almost sold out. Teachers can earn up to 9 renewal units or one college credit through MSU-Northern. Please share with your school bus drivers, too. Workshops cost $330 and are open to all drivers. Visit http://montanadrive.mt.gov to learn more.
REGISTER TODAY - MONTANA TRAFFIC EDUCATION CONFERENCE - APRIL 22-24, 2018 - BOZEMAN
Book your room by March 30 for the group rate! Plan to attend the annual Montana Traffic Education Conference, hosted by the Montana Traffic Education Association and the Office of Public Instruction. This year's theme is Focus on Success and you can look forward to the second annual Lesson Slam, keynotes by Harry Amend (retired coach and school administrator, and now a Leadership Development trainer), Kelly Browning with Impact Teen Drivers, and our friend, Rich Hanson. Sessions on parent meetings, intersections, in-car lessons, liability, new car technology, teaching traffic education in rural communities, special needs and driver education, staying healthy behind the wheel, and more! All traffic education instructors received MTEA's spring newsletter with a registration form. Register by April 16! Visit http://mteaonline.org for details.
