The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is extending the deadline to apply for funds to replace model year 2002-2006 higher polluting diesel-powered C and D type school buses with new, clean diesel or propane buses. Electric school bus replacements for 2002-2009 diesel-powered C and D type school buses are also eligible for funding. This application process will award successful applications the lower of either $25,000 or 25 percent of the cost of the new diesel or propane buses or the lower of either $134,500 or 45 percent of the cost of a new battery electric bus.
This program is only to eligible school districts that are located in Flathead, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Missoula, Ravalli, Sanders, Silver Bow and Rosebud Counties.
The revised schedule and extended application deadline below replace the original schedule on page 6 of the Request for Applications (RFA) attached.
