Big Idea #1 - School Readiness in Montana

The Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) is conducting a survey on processes developed by schools and districts around kindergarten entry. As outlined by the Montana Preschool Development Grant (MPDG) and as part of a Comprehensive Early learning Assessment System, the MPDG State Leadership Team and a work group formed from the Best Beginnings Advisory Council have been charged with recommending a valid and reliable Kindergarten Entry Assessment (KEA) to be piloted in a few schools during the fall of 2018. As an important part of making a thoughtful and informed state recommendation, we value hearing information regarding current practices in Montana schools and districts. Please participate in the survey though the following link: http://bit.ly/2feSe.15. Please contact Jill Chirstensen at jchristensen@mt.gov for more information or questions.
