Big Idea #1 - Aviation Awareness Art Contest

The Montana Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division is hosting its 2017 Aviation Awareness Art Contest. The contest is open to students of all ages. The winners in each grade category (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) and their parents will be flown to Helena for an award ceremony on May 5, 2017. Winners will also get a tour of the Capitol building and lunch on Helena's Last Chance Gulch.  The deadline to submit the artwork is April 15, 2017. Big Idea #2 - Did You Know...

...that Bynum School made the national news for dancing and singing at school? Dancing and singing is part of their morning, and students at Bynum have been doing this for decades. View the video from the NBC Today Sunday Morning report to see how the students even got the reporter to dance with them.

Big Idea #3 - American Indian Traditional Games

The Office of Public Instruction's Indian Education for All division has a new video about traditional games. The video shows a traditional games clinic held in East Glacier. Games include team games as well as games that build physical skills. Tribal members discuss the games played in the video.  View the video here to see the games and discussion.
