Getting students to do their homework can be challenging, especially if the homework is about a topic that does not interest the students. One school individualized homework based on the students' interest and parental input while still focusing on content standards. Big Idea #2 - Advice for New Teachers

Being a new teacher is a challenge just by iteslf. An informal poll of OPI employees who are teachers said the first parent-teacher conference as a new teacher is equally nerve-wracking as their first day of school as a teacher. Read the article written by one veteran teacher (who does not work for OPI) for new teachers about how a little empathy for parents goes a long way in the parent-teacher conferences. 

Big Idea #3 - Teacher Learning Hub Special Edition

Staring in March, the 3 Big Ideas will sending a Teacher Learning Hub Special Edition once a month. The special edition will list all the new courses available on the Hub, as well as upcoming facilitated courses. Watch for the first edition on Monday, March 6th.
