Every teacher has them: those school days during testing or around a school break where trying to do regular instruction is next to impossible. Just trying to come up with ideas to fill that time can be a challenge. Jennifer Gonzalez of the Cult of Pedagogy has come up with 30 ideas for those lame duck school days. Big Idea #2 - Summer Math Workshop

The Flathead Reservation Algebra Collaboration (FRACtion) is having their free summer workshop August 14-18, 2017 at Salish Kootenai College. This year's topic is Probability: A Study of Chance with guest speaker Patty Lofgren of the Mathematics Education Collaborative. Visit FRACtion's blog for registration details and more information. Big Idea #3 - Gifted and Talented STEAMmaker Camp

The Gifted and Talented STEAMmaker camp will be held at Big Sky High School in Missoula on June 12-14, 2017. At the camp, teams of teachers and students come together to experience a Makerspace event. Modules include coding and languages, aeronautics and digital art. The deadline to register is May 8, 2017.
