Experienced Teacher Forum
The Division of Special Education has scheduled an Experienced Teacher Forum on the dates and locations below. Since the Division of Special Education instituted a Beginning Teacher Training, offered at various locations across the state in August, a decision was made to change from the All Teacher Training format to an Experienced Teacher Forum. The forum will be held in three locations throughout the state. The forum will consist of five Special Education topics – Progress Reports and Data Collection, Writing Better Evaluation Reports, Self/Care and Mentoring, Recent Changes in Special Education, and Parental Disagreement and the EAP Process. Participants will rotate through each of these topics and participate in an open discussion led by a Special Education staff member. The forum will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at around 4:00 p.m. at each of the three locations. The number of participants will be limited to sixty (60) at each of the locations.
