Dear High Schools,
Thank you for your ongoing participation in the Montana Behavioral Initiative (MBI) and Multi-tiered Systems of Support. In recognition of your efforts, your high school is invited to attend the 2017 High School Forum with a team of staff—including the administrator. The forum will take place on November 14-15, 2017, in Bozeman at the Best Western GranTree Inn.
November 14 will feature Heather Robbins presenting “Thinking Functionally” and “Layering On Tier II Supports." If you are not familiar with Heather Robbins, she is currently a member of the University of Oregon’s Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior. She has worked as a teacher/behavior support specialist with the Bureau of Indian Education. Heather’s areas of focus have been school-wide behavior management and staff development.
This year, training will be held at the Best Western Gran Tree Inn in Bozeman. A block of lodging rooms has been reserved and reservations can be made by calling (406) 587-5261 prior to October 20, 2017. Please plan to share lodging rooms as much as possible. If your team plans to attend, please call as soon as possible and ask for the OPI/MBI block. The Office of Public Instruction will reimburse the school district for travel for two (2) vehicles, lodging and per diem at current state rates. Under federal guidelines meals will not be provided at the Forum.
