Greetings,

The Behavior application in your local Infinite Campus – AIM site is now open for certifying the 2017-18 behavior data to the OPI and final submittal is due in our office by 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2018. Authorized Representatives (ARs) are responsible to verify that all incidents have been entered and that the information is complete and accurate before certifying and submitting it to the OPI.  Authorized Representatives are encouraged to grant Secondary access to district personnel who were responsible for adding the data into the system throughout the school year. Failure to certify the information to the OPI will result in an incomplete report.

Events that meet the following criteria must be reported.

Any event that takes place during the reporting period that:

    • results in an outofschool suspension or expulsion, regardless of the length of time, for any enrolled student; or
    • results in an inschool suspension, regardless of the length of time, for an enrolled student with a disability.*

* Inschool suspensions may also be entered for general ed students; however, only the special ed events are required for federal reporting.

For certifying guidance, click hyperlink http://opi.mt.gov/Leadership/Data-Reporting/AIM-Achievement-in-Montana/AIM-User-Guides to find Behavior under the AIM Guides by Topic or Function column.  Select the guide on “Behavior – Administrator How to Certify Data to OPI” and follow the instructions. To grant other district personnel Secondary access to view the reported information see guidance “Behavior - Setting Up Access for Certifying District Data.” There is also a guide for Secondary access users to view and run the reports; select “Behavior – Secondary Users How to View and Export District Data.”

If your school/district did not have any behavioral incidents to report for the 2017-18 school year, you still need to log into your local Infinite Campus - AIM system and follow the” Behavior - Administrator How to Certify District Data” guide.
