The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) is seeking nominations/applications for participants in the negotiated rulemaking process to amend ARM 10.55.606 standards of accreditation regarding the accreditation process, and to consult on the preparation of an economic impact statement.
The agency is seeking applications from interested parties to serve on the committee. The agency will seek individuals likely to be significantly affected by the proposed rule change, including individuals from the following groups:
- School district trustees
- K-12 school administrators
- K-12 teachers and counselors
- School clerks/business officials
- School district administrative staff
- County superintendents

Nominations/Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
Members of the committee will be selected based on the following criteria:
- cultural diversity
- geographic location
- emergency operations and planning experience
- district and school size
- grade levels served
Selected applicants of the negotiated rulemaking committee will be notified at the email address provided by Wednesday, March 27, 2019. The committee will convene the first meeting on Thursday, April 4, 2019 and the second meeting will be held on April 25, 2019. Teleconference and email correspondence will be used as much as possible to facilitate full committee participation at all meetings.
Completed nominations/applications for membership on the committee are due to Linda Vrooman Peterson no later than 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
